As it does each year during the rainy season, the lagoon at San Francisco, Nayarit, has broken through to the sea. Heavy rains in early August got the river flowing and this annual breakthrough to the Pacific. Now the egrets and buzzards are enjoying the shallow water estuary. Our beach will return this winter!
