The arrival of Spring on March 21 coincides with the birth date of Benito Juárez, the indigenous Zapotec and President of Mexico who is known as the "Father of the Americas". In San Pancho, the children from the kindergarten (with a little help from proud parents) were all decked out (as were the pickup truck floats) as they paraded down Avenida Tercer Mundo on Monday, the 21st and again on the following day. The second day's parade ended up at the kindergarten where everyone, kids and parents alike, enjoyed refreshments and sweets to celebrate the occasion.
